We are looking for a skilled System Engineer in Hungary to help keep our international IT environment secure, reliable, and high-performing.
You will work closely with an international IT team and Second Level Support, take ownership of complex technical issues, and contribute to cross-border projects.

Your profile

Duties and responsibilities

  • Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain new and existing server environments.
  • Perform routine infrastructure maintenance and updates to support availability and performance.
  • Manage VMware and Proxmox virtualization platforms.
  • Monitor systems, networks, and Telio applications proactively, resolving issues before they affect operations.
  • Manage backup solutions and ensure recovery procedures are tested and documented.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and support effective incident resolution.
  • Guide and enable the Second Level Support team.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software asset records and support licensing compliance.
  • Conduct system and network audits against internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical designs, installation instructions, procedures, checklists, and network documentation.
  • Contribute to international IT projects and cohesive support across locations.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and NOC duties.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Professional Experience & Skills

  • More than five years of experience in system administration, IT systems architecture, networking, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows environments, including Active Directory, Windows Server, back-office products, and workstations.
  • Good hands-on knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Proxmox.
  • Experience with monitoring systems and with Confluence and Jira.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Hungarian, spoken and written.
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10–20% of the time.
  • A B.Sc. in Computer Science is preferred.
